Role and Responsibilities
By joining our Global Strategic Sourcing team, you will make meaningful contributions in the design and deployment of category strategies including Electronics, Computers & other electrical systems for our aviation and healthcare simulators


The Category Vendor Manager:

  • Identifies and conducts crossfunctional cost reduction initiatives on sourced products and services.
  • Organizes and lead a global category network.
  • Manages all aspects of the vendor relationship, including operational performance, commercial matters, vendor development (capacity, technology, etc.)
  • Conducts market intelligence to identify risks and opportunities and channel innovation.
  • Provides expert recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other procurement teams as required.
  • Devises and oversees plans to assure supply to internal and external stakeholders, preventing and/or managing shortages
  • Manages contractual and pricing aspects, including preparation of agreements & supplier negotiation.
  • Meets project deliverables, in terms of both cost and schedules, and statuses on these dimensions to internal customers and stakeholders
  • Manages contract execution (claims/warranties/payment terms).
  • Proactively seeks total cost reduction opportunities, such as through vendor consolidation, commodity management, technology leverage and demand management
  • Devises commodity / vendor CSR roadmap and leads associated initiatives
  • A University undergraduate degree (such as Bachelor's and B.Sc.) in an Engineering discipline, Applied Sciences, Business administration or a related field of study.
  • 610 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of supply management in a technical projectdriven environment.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle, category Management and/or project management.
  • Negotiation skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent task and project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and good presentation skills in English.
  • Experience in writing specific summaries, reports, business letters and business plans.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
