Inventory Assistant
Nordic Minesteel Technologies is seeking a motivated
Inventory Assistant to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an ambitious, hands-on position with growth opportunities within a challenging and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, inspect, label, record and store/route incoming material
  • Check shipments received against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders and/or any other related documents to ensure that any discrepancies or damages are identified, recorded, and brought to the appropriate departments' attention
  • Locate, verify, issue and kit materials and supplies for operations and shipments
  • Keep inventory of and submit purchase requisitions for shop supplies
  • Cycle/inventory counts
  • Keep warehouses and yard organized
  • Provide backup support for the other team members as required
  • Use hand tools to assemble packaging
  • Verify specifications by reading blueprints and measuring components
  • Maintain a selfmotivated, positive, and outgoing attitude

Requirements:


  • Min 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problemsolving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to identify hardware and structural steel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multiple demands
  • Capable of working outside in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb
  • Demonstrates the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs
  • Previous forklift experience is an asset

Salary:
$17.00-$21.00 per hour
