Applications are invited for the position of Dental Programs Manager in the School of Allied Health Division, located at the Welland Campus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-ordinate team efforts to ensure the effective development & delivery of the Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting and Dental Office Administration programs.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and program staff to continually review and improve the content and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum.
- Oversee all clinical elements of the programs
- Lead and participate in various internal and external committees.
- Anticipate educational trends and curricular issues
- Lead Accreditation processes for the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs
- Contribute to overall student success initiatives
- Provide recommendations for admission requirements and selection processes.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical activities.
- Lead successful College Recruitment initiatives on behalf of programs
- Participate in divisional and college meetings.
- Support program budget processes
- Assist with planning of advisory committee meetings/ preparing reports for circulation to stakeholders.
- Assist with staffing and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Dental Hygiene Diploma
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists Ontario
- Dental Assisting Certificate level I and II
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster/support the same with students and colleagues
- Experience in a clinical teaching and learning environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
