Applications are invited for the position of Dental Programs Manager in the School of Allied Health Division, located at the Welland Campus.

The salary range is $83,443 to $104,303 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate team efforts to ensure the effective development & delivery of the Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting and Dental Office Administration programs.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and program staff to continually review and improve the content and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum.
  • Oversee all clinical elements of the programs
  • Lead and participate in various internal and external committees.
  • Anticipate educational trends and curricular issues
  • Lead Accreditation processes for the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs
  • Contribute to overall student success initiatives
  • Provide recommendations for admission requirements and selection processes.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical activities.
  • Lead successful College Recruitment initiatives on behalf of programs
  • Participate in divisional and college meetings.
  • Support program budget processes
  • Assist with planning of advisory committee meetings/ preparing reports for circulation to stakeholders.
  • Assist with staffing and scheduling

Qualifications:


  • Dental Hygiene Diploma
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists Ontario
  • Dental Assisting Certificate level I and II
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster/support the same with students and colleagues
  • Experience in a clinical teaching and learning environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
