Applications are invited for the position of Head Coach, Women's Volleyball in the Athletics and Student Engagement Division, located at the Welland Campus.

The salary range is $29,000 to $38,000/annually, for a 20-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary. This position is set to commence August 2023.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing an annual training program that maximizes recruiting opportunities, optimizes training sessions and prepares the student-athletes for success in CCAA competition
  • Providing appropriate physical and mental training programs
  • Supporting and monitoring studentathletes' academic progress
  • Integrating community programming with the women's volleyball program
  • Designing and running grassroots clinics and camps
  • Supporting and acting in accordance with the strategic direction and initiatives as they relate to studentathlete support, general promotions, budget management, appropriate administrative responsibilities, and community/alumni relations
  • Leading the program in accordance with Niagara College, OCAA, and CCAA policies and procedures

Qualifications:


  • Minimum four (4) year degree or diploma or similar field of study
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant head coaching experience
  • Full certification at the NCCP Level 2 (or equivalent) is required
  • Previous coaching experience in the CCAA, USPORT and/or Elite Club level is considered an asset
