THE ROLE
The Child Care Navigator will provide information and referrals related to child care for Military families.

This will include researching, reviewing and maintaining a network/database of resources, services, program details, related information and/or data and make recommendations, as required.


The Child Care Navigator will plan, organize and deliver family support services, conduct community orientations, develop presentations, information sessions and briefings associated with child care for Military families.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**College diploma or certificate in Social Services, Family Studies, Social Work or a related discipline.


AND
Several years of experience in community service delivery.


Experience:


  • In developing and delivering facilitated information sessions
  • In developing and facilitating selfhelp resources
  • In working with a crosssection of the community
  • In data entry, collection and/or statistical analysis.

Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
