Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Table Games, this position is responsible for overseeing the Table Games operations at the site level on a shift basis. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Implements all new Table Games initiatives as directed. Actively participates in the recruitment and hiring process.
Duties and responsibilities for our next Gaming Manager will include:
- Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the table games operation; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
- Oversees Table Games operations on a shift basis
- Implements Table Games strategic plans as directed; participates in all Table Games marketing initiatives
- Cosigns cheques for verified winners
- Monitors the Customer Comp Program; may monitor and report on guest satisfaction surveys
- Prepares and submit departmental reports including labour cost analysis
- Trains employees
- Responds to and resolves issues as escalated
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, graveyards and weekends as we operate 24 hours per day, seven days a week
- Minimum 1 year of Gaming Experience
- Thorough knowledge of BCLC and Company policies and Procedures
- Adhere to the high standards, methods and procedures of Gaming at Great Canadian Entertainment
- Proven guest service skills
- Ability to successfully obtain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
- SIR, Smart Serve or IGB certification
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
