The Ministry assists clients through its FrontCounter BC service counters, which simplifies the process for citizens and natural resource businesses who are seeking information or authorizations to utilize crown natural resources.

Job Requirements:

Technical Diploma in a related field (such as clerical/office administration, communications);
OR:
Grade 12 supplemented with 1 year of related experience.

Related experience must include:

Administrative support/office experience responding to inperson or telephone client/customer enquiries.

Preference may be given to applicants:

with experience dealing with cash transactions and other point of sales devices, credit cards or similar.

- who have experience interpreting and explaining policies and/or regulations to clients/customers

PROVISOS

Must possess a valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver's License.
Must be willing to travel occasionally, for varying lengths of time.
Must be able to lift and carry boxes/mailbags weighing up to 20 pounds, for distances of up to 10 feet, and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a foot stool.

About this Position:

There is one (1) permanent opportunity available. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

This position is located in Fort St John location. Due to the nature of the role, this position must be performed from the Fort St John office. British Columbia's oldest interior community, Fort St. John is perfect for scenic drives, hiking, fishing, and camping, as it sits alongside the Peace River.

Hiking is particularly nice in the surrounding provincial parks of Beatton Provincial Park and Charlie Lake Provincial park, where camping is also available.

Its gentle rolling hills are perfect for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter months
