The Equipment Operator at Powerline Plus Ltd. plays a critical role in the productivity and efficiency of operations at Powerline Plus Ltd. and its facilities.

The Operator plays many critical roles including but not limited to; Equipment Operator, Equipment Maintenance Technician, Facility Maintenance Attendant and General Laborer.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Valid 'G' Driver's License with clean driver's abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
Minimum two (2) years' experience safely operating various types of heavy machinery/ equipment
Equipment Operator certification an asset
Ability to safely operate various machines:

Forklift:

Must display a professional and courteous attitude to coworkers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
Must be able to work outdoors in adverse conditions such as: heat exposure, cold temperatures, rain, snow etc.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position: ability to lift 50 pounds or more, standing for extended periods, kneeling, squatting etc.
Strict adherence to all industry related safety legislation as well as company specific safety policies/procedures
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to operate the Bulldozer and other heavy equipment accurately, efficiently and safely
Maintaining the yard and organizing the inventory
Follow the safety required inspections duties for machineries as well to the yard
Stacking the products and items reels, cables, pipes, fittings etc.
Daily Complete full yard material inventory counts on biweekly or quarterly basis
Identification and reporting of any health & safety issues.
Carry out daily shipping/receiving duties as required.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the heavy equipment
Clean up surrounding yard/facilities
General yard maintenance
Clearing of snow and salting

Various general labour tasks as required
