What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and monitor the development, integration and implementation of highly specialized evidence based practices
  • Liaise with management and staff across the region, to consult on best practices, and to review program and service relationships
  • Interpret and analyze trends to establish the need for programs at the local level, and makes recommendations
  • Participate in the development of strategies to effectively address specific program issues
  • Build relationships with community stakeholders in order to consult and advise about specific services, and to resolve issues
  • Conduct program reviews to evaluate adherence to practice guidelines and consistency with ministry, legislative, and program standards.

How do I qualify?:


Technical Knowledge:


  • You have demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of children mental health, treatment modalities used in developmental child and youth mental health services treatment planning, adult education principles and clinical behavior training.
  • You have knowledge of legislation governing social service and community programs and resources, residential and community programs and services in the region, and program standards and procedures.
  • You have experience using program analysis principles and method to conduct program reviews/analysis, to evaluate program integrity, quality, to analyze trends and to make recommendations.
  • You have project management and organizational skills to coordinate services and monitor the implementation of various initiatives.

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:


  • You can present recommendations and liaise with stakeholders and management.
  • You can develop spreadsheets, reports, analyzing trends, and performing analyses using office software.
  • You have relationship management skills to build working relationships with members of multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and parents/guardians.
  • You have negotiation skills to promote/negotiate the development, integration and implementation of specific programs, and to advise program management on client needs and resources.
  • You have experience working with community service agencies in joint planning, integration of services, and other initiatives.
  • You have training skills to develop ongoing staff training plans for initiative specific programs, professionals, community partners, and parents.

Research and Analytical Skills:


  • You can implement the delivery of programs and specialized service initiatives across the organization and community.
  • You can review organizational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and responsiveness and consistency with ministry clinical service program/organizational standards.
  • You can analyze issues and quality improvement to provide recommendations.
  • You can plan/coordinate programs, service initiatives to support delivery of community initiatives and services that address the needs of children and youth.
