The Construction division of Northland Properties Corporation is looking for a Site Superintendent for its restaurant renovation projects.

As a mobile Construction Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading on-site activities to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects with high-quality standards.
You will be traveling to job sites around Canada and be in charge of building a site team and working collaboratively with other divisions, including procurement, operations, construction, and design, as well as enforcing best practices, monitoring project expenditures and maintaining a safe work environment.
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Supervise and coordinate daytoday activities of the crew.
- Hire, train, and assign employees, crew and subcontractors, providing coaching, counselling, and discipline if necessary to achieve high performance and quality.
- Monitor and control employees, crew and subcontractors' performance, communicate job expectations, evaluate job contributions and recommend compensation actions, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Enforce best building practices, conducting daily inspections to maintain construction quality standards, resolving problems and implementing measures to improve efficiency.
- Assist the creation of construction schedules to meet project timelines, standards and budget parameters.
- Assist with obtaining quotes for upcoming jobs and determining the ideal trade partners in various regions.
- Monitor project expenditures, identify labour, equipment, and materials variances, and implement corrective actions to meet the construction budget.
- Prevent fines and interruptions by following standards and enforcing codes and regulations.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties.
- Performs other duties as required

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Knowledge and expertise in concrete work, forming, and all trade activities.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in construction.
- Understanding of all safety procedures, hazard recognition, and proactive risk mitigation to ensure health & safety standards.
- Competence in project scheduling, cost estimation and budget management.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in construction.
- Ability to track record of successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Experience conducting and facilitating safety training programs.
- Problemsolving ability and proficiency in creating costeffective solutions.
- Ability to work away from home during projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 1012 hours/day.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms
- Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
