Description

The Marketing and Communications Administrator delivers proactive administrative and tactical support to the Marketing and Communications Coordinator to assist in the achievement of the Excel Society's engagement, awareness, voluntary, and philanthropic goals.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Monitoring, advising, and actioning requests for communications, marketing, or fund development support.


2. Creating and distributing the Excel Society Staff Newsletter.


3. Developing electronic and direct-mail fundraiser templates and coordinating fundraising campaigns.


4. Liaising with stakeholders and volunteers to effectively deliver Excel Society's message and assist with fund raising.


5. Identifying opportunities to reach new audiences and drive charitable contributions.


6. Supporting the Excel Society Events Committee and the Excel Society Board Fundraising Committee.


7.
Participating in the oversight, development, management and maintenance of all online communication vehicles, including but not limited to:
Excel Society website, E-mails, online social media (including Facebook, Twitter, Instragram, blogs, etc).


8. Authoring impactful copy and providing editing services for excellent communications and marketing.


9. Creating photos, graphics, logos, images, publications, collateral and videos using the Adobe Creative Cloud.


10. Helping to ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity.


11. Working with designers, writers, editors, and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral.


12. Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on industry activities; make recommendations to advance public profile, community engagement, and charitable contributions.


13. Analyze potential new products/media to enhance the marketing/communications work of Excel Society.


14. Ensure that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline.


15. Coordinate special projects, bulk mailings, and events as identified by supervisor, including follow up as needed.


Requirements:


1. Related diploma or degree in in marketing, advertising, business administration, communications, journalism, or equivalent.


2. 3 years of relevant work experience.


3. Experience with awareness-raising and direct-marketing campaigns.


4. Knowledge of best practices in non-for-profit marketing and fund development.


5. Experience supporting internal communications and staff engagement initiatives.


6. Proven ability to enhance the planning, development, and execution of internal and external events.


7. Working knowledge of WordPress software, technical add-ons, and online content creation.


8. Track record of excellent copywriting for Newsletters, Websites, Magazines, Newspapers, and Social Media Platforms.


9. Production experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud - Graphic Design, Web Development, Advanced Photography, and Film Editing.


10. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.


11. Effective verbal and written, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


12. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.


13. Satisfactory criminal record check
