Job Description:


RESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the Quality Engineers in providing support to Production Associates on the shift

Production Support: Provide technical support as necessary to production line regarding quality related issues. Be the first contact to quality Down Times. Review quality concerns from the production associates and take actions as appropriate. Escalate Down times and quality concerns to QE as necessary

Defect Investigation: Maintain defect database daily, determine required details for each defect. Support QE in defect deep dive and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Support A3 investigation and root cause analysis

VOC Investigation: Coordinate relevant functions to investigate customer complains that caused by manufacturing process, support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

Communication: Participate shift stand ups to provide quality feedback. Communicate the defects to individuals on the shift as appropriate. Engage supervisors / team leads as required in the communication

QCC Support: Support QE on Quality Champions Council activities. Coordinate with Quality Champions to discover, evaluate, and ensure quality improvements are implemented

Process Audit: Organize and execute process audits and CTQ execution audits throughout the manufacturing process, Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded

  • Proactively Identify improvement opportunities and ensure actions are implemented. Support and participate in process improvement activities
  • Take actions as assigned from audits and MRBs
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001). Carry out internal audits as required
  • Assist the Quality Engineer with stop order executions, NPI activities
  • Undertake special projects as required
  • Be aware and work to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
  • May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees.
  • Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.
  • Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program.
  • Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contributes by making recommendations for applicable product or process improvements for manufacturability of the produced parts and products.
  • Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Rockwell Automation values, ethics, policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
  • Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.
  • All other duties as required and assigned by supervision

SKILLS:

  • In depth knowledge of MV, LV, and SSB assembly and wiring process
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS word and Excel. Be able to modify written instructions, i.e., Cambridge Specific Procedures (CSPs) and Documented Work Instructions (DWIs)
  • Familiar with SAP, FTPC to investigate defect and customer complains
  • Selfdirected in a team environment
  • Safe use of manual tools and, power tools and machinery
  • Demonstrate proficiency of assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities required to achieve customer satisfaction, including but not limited to SAP, Factory Talk and Kronos.
  • Engage in and anticipate the activities necessary to meet the changing needs of the business, with the highest possible level of efficiency.
  • Produces results in a product and or service that conforms to valid specifications, is free of defects, strives to reduce variation of the process and adds value for our customers.
  • Demonstrates understanding and supports company values, policies, and standards of business.

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:

  • Level 3: 5 Years related wiring and assembly experience
  • Extensive experience in Direct Wiring, Tub wiring, and FAs of both MVD and MVS
