Overview
$5,000 Signing Bonus
The primary purpose and function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services at customer locations in accordance with established procedures and methods using appropriate tools, test equipment, and replacement parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide service to customers in accordance with Handicare's terms and conditions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and Handicare's employees
- Accurately identifies customer expectations and needs
- Recommend products and services based on observed customer needs
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on time
- Maintain expenses and required inventory in accordance with Handicare's guidelines
- Comply with all Handicare, customer, and government Health and Safety regulations
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
- Accountable for maintaining inventory and good condition of tools provided
- Commitment to providing superior customer service
- Other duties as required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, government regulations and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High school diploma
- 24 years' experience or training in a technical support role or technical repair role in the biomedical device field or equivalent field is an asset
- Previous experience in the health care industry is an asset
- Valid driver's license in good standing. Driver's abstract required
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook is required. Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word is an asset.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift.
Employee will be required to regularly climb up to 8 feet ladders and safely carry up to 12kg (26lb) lift motors up and down ladders.
Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 23kg (50lb).TRAVEL:
- Travel to customer locations within assigned territory. Some overnight travel required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

$27.00-$30.00 per hour
