The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$70,137- $77,330
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $91,214
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job SummaryReporting to the Data and Systems Manager, the Database Administrator plays a vital role in establishing a data driven culture across Alumni and Development. The Database Administrator works closely with the other positions in the Advancement Operation team to develop data solutions for Alumni and Development and campus partners. The Database Administrator also liaises with vendors and central University Systems staff for SQL Server and database support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large sets of highly confidential Alumni and Development data ensuring it is clean, consistent, accessible, interoperable, current, defined, and understood.
  • Supports the efforts to identify data gaps and areas for process improvement with a focus on collection, cleansing, maintenance, and sourcing options such as outreach, process mapping and the standardization of data across systems
  • Job RequirementsThis position requires a bachelor's degree, certificate or diploma in computerbased information systems or other relevant discipline plus at least 3+ years of experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge relational databases and data structures.
  • Designing and developing data management tools and ETL processes for data integrity.
  • Proven data management skills
  • Proven SQL Server experience
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts

  • Experience working in a postsecondary Alumni and Development environment.
  • Experience with RE/NXT or other Blackbaud products.
  • Experience with ImportoMatic.
