Reporting to the Yard Foreman and accountable for the Retail and Wholesale yards including but not limited to receiving of truck deliveries, loading, and unloading of goods.

Employee will show a high level of customer service.

Full-time, permanent-union

Hours:
up to 40 hours

Schedule:
Monday to Saturday

Expected start date:
May 2024

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Work in an environment whereby the employee is involved in and committed to the success of the organization, and which contributes to health and safety in an accidentfree workplace.
Employee will be trained to reach their potential and motivated to achieve desired business results.
Ensure regular vehicle requirements are completed (circle checks, log books, etc.).
Assist customers with orders when required.
Respect the policies and procedures of the company and in a healthy and safe environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Success in this role will Include (but not be limited to) a forklift license, knowledge of building materials and experience in a retail yard.

Ability to drive, load/unload trucks, lifts, etc. Ability to operate all required equipment and vehicles. Construction experience would also be an asset.

Commitment to assisting in the process of delivering products on time.
Commitment to high standards of procedural safety and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to a high level of customer service.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently, react to changing internal or external needs.

Education and Experience:

Experience in a retail environment, dealing with customers.
Experience working with fork trucks and other related equipment.
Valid Forklift operator's license.
