Specific Duties and Responsibilities
While the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a multitude of duties, the main functions include:
- Ensures compliance with all Sullivan policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and legislation affecting human resource functions and ensures policies and procedures comply.
- Maintains the company policy manual and enforces, educates when necessary.
- Coordinate and manages benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, and RRSP.
- Reviews and updates job descriptions and qualifying accomplishments on an annual basis to ensure relevancy.
- Manages fullcycle recruitment for office employees from job requisition through to employee onboarding.
- Processes new requests, transfers, and upgrades of all office employee's security clearances.
- Manages office facility clearance and yearly inspections.
- Understands managers' needs and builds internal relationships.
- Provides daytoday problemsolving and tactical advice to Managers on human resource initiatives.
- Supports execution of employee performance programs and expectations to maximize workforce productivity, including succession planning.
- Enters employee and organizational changes into BambooHR (new hires, transfers, salary changes, etc.).
- Participates and supports the Manager, Human Resources, with all special projects.
- Support the CEO on administrative requirements.
- Performs all administration related to human resource processes.
Safety
- Adheres to all safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Communicates and enforces safety standards in conjunction with the Construction Health & Safety Officer.
Quality
- Adheres to all processes and procedure in the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensures the quality of product produced reflects the QMS and The Sullivan core values.
What you will need to succeed
- A University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- CHRP or CHRL considered a strong asset.
- 13 years of experience in recruitment in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint).
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Government clearance.

- Highly focused and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Indepth knowledge of labour law and human resource best practices.
