Hybrid Model - when working onsite, you will report to the location of City Hall 1st Floor.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:


Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Manager, you will support the development of mapping out Brampton's Automotive and Mobility Sector via market research, analysis, current trends, and data collection.


  • Project Execution: Support research that aims to showcase Brampton sustaining continuous engagement, sector growth and leadership in the automotive sector.
  • Support business visits: Prepare key materials and research for management prior to business visits. Making phone calls to businesses and tracking results in the CRM system.
  • Support Marketing/

Communications Initiatives:
Assists in the preparation of copy, statistics, and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Coordination and administration: Take meeting minutes in meetings and followup with team members for action items.
  • Analysis: Analyse sector trends, data mine, benchmark sector opportunities, strengths and differentiators in the auto sector, including supporting talent analysis of the advanced manufacturing workforce
  • Performs additional similar and related duties as assigned

SELECTION CRITERIA:


EDUCATION:


  • High school (Grade 12) graduation plus working towards an Undergraduate Degree and/or Post-Graduate Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or post graduate certificate in related field (or equivalent experience).

OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:


  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Exhibit a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products & Dynamics
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Has a strong understanding of digital media platforms
  • Be selfmotivated and capable of working in a team environment and independently
- **Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton._
- **Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria._
