Location:
Port Carling, Ontario. With the ability to commute to commute to surrounding Muskoka area.


Position Summary:


Reporting to the company President, the incumbent would be responsible for driving sales and creating an exceptional customer experience at our seasonal barbecue retail store in Port Carling, Ontario.

Responsibilities:


  • Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals and standard of performance.
  • Provide sound knowledge and educate customers about our product.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of the store.
  • Perform necessary repairs on barbecues purchased by customers.
  • Perform maintenance, services, and detail barbecues purchased by the customer.
  • Perform payment transactions and supply supporting documents on employee purchases.
  • Perform Deliveries of purchased product in surrounding area. Company Delivery Van will be provided.
  • Assisting in training and developing a successful sales team.
  • Effectively communicate store needs to the company's President.
  • Promote a safe work environment for all who enter the store.
  • Manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Positive attitude with effective communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to self govern.
  • Exceptional organization skills, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Must be handy, with the ability to repair and perform maintenance procedures on company's barbecues.
  • Must have your own form of transportation to commute to and from work, and to and from repair and detailing jobs in the surrounding area.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Previous retail and store management would be considered an asset.
  • Clean drivers abstract.

Working Conditions:


  • This is a seasonal position running from approximately May until the end of September.
  • The store is expected to be clean, and well organized.

Contract length: 5-6 months


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Carling, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Retail management: 1 year (required)
