Job Summary:
Join the Welcome Home team as an Administrative Assistant Welcome Home is a volunteer and participant-matching program that supports newly housed individuals to gain more social connectivity and thriving relationships Volunteers are matched through Welcome Home with an individual who has left homelessness and is now struggling with social isolation and loneliness in their new home.
Welcome Home strives to connect these individuals with volunteers who are caring, and non-judgmental to help them make a fresh start in their new community.
As an Administrative Assistant, you will support the Welcome Home team with all administrative duties, involving data entry, general filing, and development of statistical reports, and event planning.
Desired Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with administrative work
- Experience with planning events
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Respectful of people from diverse cultures, economic and educational backgrounds, sexual orientations, and life circumstances
- Ability to maintain and model healthy, appropriate personal boundaries
- Flexible schedule
Education and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Office Administration or related field
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and databases
- 2 years experience in administrative office work is preferred
- Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, behavior, mental health & addictions is an asset
- Vulnerable Sector Check issued by RCMP or City Police
- Child Intervention Record Check
- A reliable Vehicle, Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Registration and Third Party Liability Insurance (amount of two million)
What We Offer:
- The compensation for this position ranges from $20,173.42 to $22,714.1 and is based on qualifications and experience.
