Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Respite Worker to support a child with special needs during their morning school routine.

This subcontracting position involves assisting the child with self-care routines, including lifting and transferring as necessary.

The primary responsibility will be to ensure the child's safety and well-being while facilitating their transition onto the school bus.

Responsibilities:_
Provide support to the child with selfcare routines
Assist with lifting and transferring the child
Ensure the child's safety during the morning routine
Help the child get on the school bus
Maintain a nurturing and empathetic approach at all times
Requirements:_
Minimum one year of experience supporting children with special needs
Qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Work, Personal Support Work, or a related field
Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs
Location at Lakeshore and Cawthra, Mississauga
Availability Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:20 AM
CPR and First Aid Certification
Clear police check and vulnerable sector screening

Note:
As a subcontractor, it is recommended to have WSIB or insurance coverage.
