The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions.

It also provides course scheduling, administration of tests and exams, enrolment data analysis and business intelligence.

Your opportunity:


Working under the direction of the Student Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of student communications.

You will use your strong technical skills to update websites, support virtual events and to create collateral that is on-brand and on-message.

A creative communicator, you'll help to shape our social media approach for current students and be involved in the creation of multi-media assets across a variety of platforms.

You'll use your strong writing and editing skills to support outreach efforts to a variety of markets and audiences.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Keeping wellinformed on technological advancements that enhance marketing/communication objectives
  • Drafting and editing content for print and/or online communications channels
  • Verifying that all digital communication collateral adheres to brand identity and University style guides
  • Creating and editing web pages with interactive media
  • Advising on social media trends and platforms to enhance digital communication strategies
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms
  • Monitoring and assessing online conversations to ensure alignment with policies and guidelines

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in communications related roles, preferably within postsecondary education and/or with a youth audience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a Client Relationship Management Database (CRM), Design software, Mac Computer, Editing, Web design and update tools.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing digital and social media communications.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, producing and disseminating marketing/communication materials.
  • Demonstrated experience producing print and webbased communication and outreach materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team centered environment.

  • Hours of work for this position are: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45 am 5:00 pm; Wednesday from 8:45 am 7:00 pm; and Friday from 8:45 am 3:30 pm.
