EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Temporary Full-Time (approximately 4 months)

REPORTING TO:

Coordinator of Waste Management

UNION AFFILIATION:

Non-Union

WAGE RATE:

$30.41/hr - $38.01/hr ($63,252.80-$79,060.80 annually)

:

To assist with the monitoring, reporting and operations of current waste and recycling collections, waste diversion programs and waste management activities occurring within Oxford County.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

College diploma in Environmental Studies (Geography, Planning, Waste Management, Environmental Science/Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
Good working knowledge of handling and disposal requirements of household hazardous waste including the operations of a municipal household hazardous waste depot, classification of hazardous waste and manifesting of hazardous waste as per Ontario Regulation 347 and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
Good working knowledge of computers and MS Office programs.
Good working knowledge of pertinent Provincial Environmental and Waste Management legislation.
Excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication skills.
Valid Ontario Driver's License is required.
