SALARY:_$19.10 per hour (2021 rates) _
_+ 12% in lieu of benefits and vacation_
The City of New Westminster is looking for responsible, friendly and keen part-time seasonal concession workers to staff our outdoor concessions.
If you have the following characteristics and qualifications, we want to hear from you:
- Ability to learn cash handling skills with the ability to receive payments and make change quickly and accurately.
- Ability to provide friendly and fast service.
- Ability to work without supervision, and to work well with others.
- Ability to make sound decisions and problem solve.
- Ability to safely clean equipment and keep work areas tidy and well stocked.
- Previous related experience would be an asset.
- Ability to learn processes and take direction.
- Ability to tolerate extreme heat, and humidity necessary to work in kitchens, climate changes and work outdoors.
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift as work duties demand.
- Ability to bend, reach and lift items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
- Have a valid Food Safe Certificate, Level
- The successful applicant must be able to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check.
