SALARY:_$19.10 per hour (2021 rates) _
_+ 12% in lieu of benefits and vacation_


The City of New Westminster is looking for responsible, friendly and keen part-time seasonal concession workers to staff our outdoor concessions.

Your responsibilities will be the preparation and serving of fast food and beverages and other related duties as required.


If you have the following characteristics and qualifications, we want to hear from you:

  • Ability to learn cash handling skills with the ability to receive payments and make change quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to provide friendly and fast service.
  • Ability to work without supervision, and to work well with others.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and problem solve.
  • Ability to safely clean equipment and keep work areas tidy and well stocked.
  • Previous related experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to learn processes and take direction.
  • Ability to tolerate extreme heat, and humidity necessary to work in kitchens, climate changes and work outdoors.
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift as work duties demand.
  • Ability to bend, reach and lift items up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Have a valid Food Safe Certificate, Level
  • The successful applicant must be able to pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check.
