Reporting to the Lead, Quality Control, the Quality Inspector is responsible for the first & final visual, manual & CMM inspection of all machined parts.

The owner will also have the responsibility to generate the certificates of conformance, and submit quality control non conformity reports & corrective actions requests.

Inspection

  • Conduct inspection of all received materials as well as all documentation required upon reception of any product.
  • Conduct inspections for all first articles produced for each new setup and sanction conformity as per the customer requirements and drawings (dimensions, material & machining quality level).
  • Support CNC & Conventional Machinists for all in production conducted inspections.
  • Communicate all nonconformities to the Lead, Quality Control, and all appropriate leaders & team members.
  • Achieve final inspections of all produced parts as per the customer requirements and drawings (dimensions, material & machining quality level).

Documentation

  • Create and fill forms for all First Article Inspections (FAI) as per the established process. Communicate results of the first item inspection to Machinists and support the correction of all flaws.
  • Document compliant received goods in the ERP (JobBoss) as per the established process.
  • Create certificates of conformity for all parts that pass the final inspection, as per customer requirements.
  • Complete all other company or customer requested quality related documentation in a professional manner.
  • Scan, file and archive all generated documentation for manufactured parts.
  • Request en ensure appropriate sign offs from stakeholders as per the applicable process of each part or document.
  • Issue nonconformity reports for all parts that failed the applicable inspection.
  • Issue the corrective action requests as per the established criteria.
  • Revise, provide corrections & confirm all quality related documentation prior to the parts release & shipment.
  • Create ballooned drawings as required.

Qualifications

  • Completed training program in quality control or 2 to 3 years of experience as a Conventional Machinist or CNC Machinist
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a quality control inspector within a manufacturing environment (Aerospace is an asset)
  • Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) experience is an asset.
  • Basic Knowledge of Inspection tools.
  • Ability to analyse mechanical drawings, ISO9001, AS9100 and customer specifications.
  • Ability to work with an ERP system. Detailed oriented & autonomous
  • Capacity to analyse and document data.
  • Proficient with It tools usage, including the MS Office suite.
  • Capacity to communicate in French and English, both written and spoken.

Salary:
From $22.00 per hour
