APAG is looking to fill the position of _
Maintenance Technician_, who is responsible for supporting the maintenance team in providing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to our production lines, equipment, and facility.

Responsibilities_

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols
  • Conduct maintenance of manufacturing systems
  • Implement preventative maintenance procedures
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Carry out Planned Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Devices in line with Manufacturers recommendations and available procedures.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance (ie. Light bulb replacement, battery exchanges, fixture replacements etc.) and support external contractors
  • Act when there are failures in compliance or initiatives and investigate the reasons behind these and address to build and develop performance
  • Ability to effect fault diagnosis on plant and equipment of a more complex nature
  • Perform startup, diagnosis and troubleshooting of the manufacturing processes, all auxiliary equipment and all secondary production equipment while ensuring that safety and quality are the prime initiative
  • Analyzing machinerelated problems, providing technical guidance and taking the appropriate corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of production schedules
  • Independently perform machine adjustments within allowable parameters, perform routine machine and maintenance tasks and minor repairs on all production equipment, including molders and peripheral quality equipment on assigned lines
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts
  • Participate in shift hand off meetings to ensure successful transfer of knowledge
  • Attend production scheduling, quality & training meetings as required
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications_

  • Successful completion of OSSD is required
  • Previous experience in maintenance and/or SMT is an asset
  • Previous experience with a CMMS is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office

Note: Shifts may vary; there is a potential for Continental or Panama shifts._


Salary:
$22.05 per hour
