Job Overview:

The
Samples Clerk is responsible for the timely preparation of samples for internal and external requests, and ensuring all samples are prepared according to sample department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the sample requests to ensure deadlines are met
Package sample shipments according to company policies and standards
Ensuring samples inventory stock is appropriately stored, rotated following FIFO
Report obstacles when completing sample requests and seek appropriate assistance
Work alongside the Shipping department to organize and manage freezer samples stock
Collect, prepare (repack) and label samples to be shipped to Customers, Sales, and Marketing and for internal meetings
Ensure cooler boxes and dry ice is ordered bases on sample requests
Review the samples log daily, up to three days in advance make recommendations for change if necessary
Ensuring all administrative tasks are being completed accurately and timely fashion
Communicate shortages to the Sample Coordinator promptly
Record keeping of each item lot number/ weight and any other "special instructions" that might be deem necessary
Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area and freezer space

Recipe for Success:

Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
Completion of college diploma in Marketing, Business, Food Science, or a related field is preferred
Minimum 4 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
Previous marketing experience in food and/or bakery environment is preferred
Must be able to multitask and flexible to change
Effective communication skills, with the ability to handle communication from multiple stakeholders
A self starter with the ability to identify projects, solutions
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines, with strong project management skills
