    The Facilities Coordinator (Canada) is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of Give & Go Canadian facilities and grounds and will provide technical support to the Operations, Maintenance, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance (QA) and Engineering teams.

    Assets maintained by the Facilities Coordinator are HVAC, boilers, air compressors & dryers, product storage freezers/coolers, building chillers, wastewater treatment systems, building life safety systems, site utilities, building flooring, lighting, drains, roofing and grounds.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Assist Facilities Maintenance Manager in developing building systems maintenance policies, practices, and proceduresIdentifies and develops plans to address deferred maintenance and renewal of building systems at Give & Go sitesOrganizes and conducts training to Maintenance for the operation and maintenance of facilities systemsDevelop and present proposals to improve reliability and cost savingsSafely operate facilities systems to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and utilities to Give & Go production, packaging, warehouse, laboratory, and office areasTroubleshoot, coordinate services to repair, maintain, calibrate, alter/modify and install the following systems with Operations, Maintenance, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), Engineering, external contractors and building owner/landlord: roof mounted HVAC units, boilers, air compressors and dryers, product storage freezers/coolers, ammonia refrigeration systems, Building chillers and associated cooling towers, pumps and valves, Gas fired standalone heaters, Gas fired and electric humidifiers and dehumidifiers, Wastewater treatment systems (Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)), Building life safety systems (sprinklers, extinguishers, specialized suppression systems, fire alarm, emergency generators), Plumbing (domestic hot and cold water), building roofing and flooring, lightingObtain quotes from vendors and secure PO approvalsCompile and maintains all information and documentation relevant to all completed workAudits and evaluates the operational effectiveness and preventive maintenance program of building systems in order make continuous improvementsParticipate in Give & Go health and safety programs and environmental sustainability initiativesWorks closely and provides technical support to Operations, Maintenance, HSE, QA and Engineering teams on the delivery of capital initiatives and programsCompile and maintains all information and documentation relevant to all completed work
    • Ensure all work is performed in full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), local codes / regulations, Give & Go Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions and established safety standardsTravel between sites to perform duties and be available for on-call and emergency call outs as they ariseRecipe for Success:High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensingMinimum 3-5 years of facilities and building maintenance experienceExperience in operating, maintaining, repair and troubleshooting HVAC, boilers, air compressors, product storage freezers/coolers, chillers and wastewater treatment systems (Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF)) in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/beverage or consumer packagingAbility to provide observations about facility conditions and deficiencies and provide suggestions for enhancement and repairAbility to research, learn and gain greater proficiency in applying on-the job – fire, life safety, building codes and standardsPossess a strong environment, health and safety mindset.
    Ability to perform work in a safe manner. Strong client-service orientation along with a sense of urgencyEffective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback and clarificationAbility to read, understand and interpret technical drawings and informationBasic knowledge and understanding of Building Automation systems (BAS)

    Ability to work in a team environmentStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordRequired to travel between sites to perform duties and be available for on-call and emergency call outs as they ariseValid Class G driver's licenseWhat We Can Offer:
