What you bring to the table:

  • Post-Secondary education in a Engineering, Design & Drafting, or similar discipline.
  • Experience in regulated or ISO environments documentation is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access databases
  • Experience with programming such as Excel VBA an asset
  • Experience with Solidworks drafting & modelling an asset
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD would be considered as asset
  • Attention to details and willingness to learn
  • Strong and effective communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Experience with PSI or another fully integrated ERP system preferred.

In addition to the above requirements, this role requires the ability to:

  • Communicate with all levels of the Company using excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with all external and internal customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality, only sharing details with those who require the information to execute the duties of their position.

How you'll use your skills and experience:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Research and Development Department (R&D).
  • Help R&D Manager with organizing and following R&D projects and daily tasks.
  • Assist in releasing and printing drawings, procedures and other technical documents.
  • Work with production supervision team to ensure production order information such as material information is collected and accurate.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials used, rates of production and other production information, using manual or computerized systems (ACCESS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project etc.).
  • Operate light metal working machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses, including CNC equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill shape or straighten sheet metal. Training will be provided.
  • Assist the department supervisor with various tasks, such as: changing and creating the parts for different truck models; assist in creating and routing the drawings; assist with completing, printing and stapling release packages.
  • Assist with product installations onto trucks as needed
  • Assist with writing the installation instructions
  • Communicate in a respectful and clear manner with all employees and visitors
  • Follow standard procedures to determine material usage, cut times, bending times, assembly times, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Salary:
$19.50-$20.00 per hour
