- Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and projects and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects of all scales.
- Execution of complex and major programs, supporting large proposals.
- Mentoring of junior staff and acting as technical reference.

- Proven experience (approximately 7+ years) in geotechnical engineering with proven exposure in energy, industrial, transport and infrastructure projects in Atlantic Canada/Maritimes.
- A strong academic background with a relevant university degree
- Professional Engineering Designation in either NL, NS, NB, or PEI.
- Proven experience of acting in an intermediate or senior role in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
- Project management - experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, and work planning.
- Proven geotechnical design experience- application of design standards and guidelines in a design and ground investigation environment.
- Geohazards and geotechnical investigation experience.
- Experienced in general geotechnical numerical software
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to support the development of teams.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to peer-review and produce quality deliverables.
- A willingness to travel on short assignments both within Nova Scotia and nationwide.

We are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical Practice in Atlantic Canada , providing technical and operational leadership, having superior client relations skills and a proven ability to deliver major assignments. Our geotechnical engineers work closely with other AtkinsRéalis professionals in multiple sectors such as transportation, rail & transit, energy, industrial, cities and development.
