Description
We are looking for a paralegal with experience in employment law, workplace-related issues, and immigration.

We are looking for an individual that is available on a contract basis and readily available whenever guidance is needed.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing requests from HR professionals
  • Work alongside the Human Resources department on all HR matters
  • Facilitate and carryout the immigration process of new hires from outside of Canada
  • Review business contracts
  • Help to pursue collections
  • Assist with leases
  • Monitoring provincial and local employment law development that impact organizational policy
  • Draft, review, analyze and organize documents
  • Conduct legal research
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Licensed paralegal in Ontario
  • 3+ years' experience in a paralegal role or relevant previous legal experience
  • Meaningful experience in a litigation setting preferred
  • Must have prior experience in employment law and immigration
  • Be a selfstarter and independent thinker
  • Be a complex problems solver
  • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
