Summary
The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Co-op student will be directly responsible to produce BIM models and 2D/3D drawings for the Engineering department.
In addition, the Co-op student will be required to work collaboratively with the engineering, project, and sales teams as needed.

- Proficient user of AutoCAD and Revit
- Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy and completeness and accuracy of drawings
- Knowledge in areas related to various construction types including wood, structural steel, concrete, etc.
- Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Selfmotivating and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- An interest in construction engineering would be considered an asset
- Support project team in producing demolition plans, shop drawings, design drawings, and asbuilt drawings using AutoCAD and Revit Structures
- Read and interpret project structural drawings and architectural drawings
- Responsible for creating CAD Blocks/Standards as required for drafting
- Ensure field and drawing data is properly stored and organized
- Development of plans and other deliverable documents in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Interpreting construction drawings to derive critical information needed to accomplish the assigned tasks
- Support multiple projects under direction from the engineering team
- Position Requirements
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in the BIM Co-op or equivalent post-secondary program with availability for a 4, 8 or 12-month internship
Proficient knowledge of Autodesk AEC software - AutoCad, Revit, and Navisworks.
Sound communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced team environment
Quick learner, highly organized
Excellent problem-solving skills
