Our sister brand, Mkt, is an independent design house creating pieces for a modern, edited home. We have three large showrooms within Toronto's Design District. In the Elte Showroom, you'll find Rugs and Carpeting, Furniture, Lighting, Mattresses, Linens and Home Decor.

What we are Looking For:

What You Do (among other things):

Be the specialist and expert in Elte custom collections/colour/design our vendors
Seamlessly manage all projects and orders from beginning to end including:
Working with designers and retail customers to bring their custom rug vision to life in partnership with the rug sales team
Through front facing interaction, recommend, educate and provide support, information and follow up to rug sales team clients on the process of creating specialty rugs
Own and foster effective vendor and manufacturer relationships through communication, providing expertise, sample development, identifying potential issues and managing cost and lead times
Complete administrative tasks for orders, samples, price lists, eta's, ongoing project lists
Build positive and effective relationships with the sales team and customers/designers to determine what support they need and what is possible and available, including advising on custom process, product knowledge training custom rug presentations
Work in partnership with the Sales Director Chief Product Officer to strategize initiatives, achieve exceed sales goals in the custom rug department

Requirements:

Minimum of 710 years on the ground experience working with rug manufacturers and sourcing product/materials in India
Extensive understanding of each step of the supply chain
Experience and ability to negotiate pricing and strictly manage and reduce product lead times
Established relationships with specialty custom area rug vendors and producers
Fluency in native Indian languages (strongly preferred) and English
Proven ability to drive sales and provide exceptional clientfacing service
Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage projects
Ability to collaborate and provide support to internal external partners
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
