Outcomes from the job

Post cash amounts collected to customer accounts
Research and reconcile customer debit notes
Conduct collection calls and updates status reports, notify customers with overdue or delinquent accounts and ensure that payments are received promptly
Prepare claim letters and statements as necessary regarding any invalid deductions taken by customers
Reviewing purchase orders and making Release or Hold decisions as appropriate
Working closely with Sales Managers and Brokers, reviewing, reconciling and reporting on customer deductions that are not valid and following up appropriately
Processing credit references on accounts
Review of customer aging reports to support timely and accurate collections
Reviewing and analyzing audit claims, shortages, fines, and penalties
Assist A/R Supervisor with process and technology improvements

Qualifications and Experience

Prior experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections or equivalent training and know how
Positive, cando attitude
Experienced working with Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated ability working with other Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner; detailed orientated and able to convey information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong ability to work within a team as well as an ability to take initiative and work independently.
