- Post cash amounts collected to customer accounts
- Research and reconcile customer debit notes
- Conduct collection calls and updates status reports, notify customers with overdue or delinquent accounts and ensure that payments are received promptly
- Prepare claim letters and statements as necessary regarding any invalid deductions taken by customers
- Reviewing purchase orders and making Release or Hold decisions as appropriate
- Working closely with Sales Managers and Brokers, reviewing, reconciling and reporting on customer deductions that are not valid and following up appropriately
- Processing credit references on accounts
- Review of customer aging reports to support timely and accurate collections
- Reviewing and analyzing audit claims, shortages, fines, and penalties
- Assist A/R Supervisor with process and technology improvements

Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections or equivalent training and know how
- Positive, cando attitude
- Experienced working with Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated ability working with other Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner; detailed orientated and able to convey information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to work within a team as well as an ability to take initiative and work independently.
