Commercial Account Manager (Permanent Full-time)
Location:
Eastern District - Brockville and Cornwall
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Rate of Pay:
Dependent on experience
As an Commercial Account Manager, you will:
- Accountable for risk management of the commercial loan portfolio as well as the quality of information, analysis, profitability and credit recommendations in executing sales of credit/non-credit products and services to Commercial members and prospects.
- Maintain an effective business development and community involvement strategy to protect and expand share of profitable Commercial business, utilizing an extensive network of referral resources.
- Liaise with professional service providers such as Central 1, lawyers, real estate appraisers, credit reporting/collection agencies and insurers, as required.
- Work cooperatively with all Credit Union branch or department personnel (e.g. Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Credential Financial) to identify opportunities to ensure members needs and expectations are profitably met and/or exceeded.
- Retain and expand Commercial relationships to achieve portfolio retention, sales, service and profitability objectives and proactively develop relationships with new Commercial members.
- Complete annual credit reviews in a timely manner according to policy, coordinating financial information requirements with the Commercial Administration Department;
- Analyze information received to assess risk; develop action plans to minimize Credit Union exposure where appropriate. Identify commercial and retail opportunities. Review pricing and submit recommendation for renewal for approval. Visit clients on a regular basis (at least annually) to ensure loan security is protected.
Qualifications Required:
- Business related University Degree/College Diploma, or appropriate combination of Business and lending related courses
- 37 years progressive commercial lending experience
- Knowledge of the Credit Union system would be an asset
- Able to be decisive and firm, while demonstrating empathy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Negotiating skills
- Excellent decision making and problemsolving skills
- Excellent sales and service skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
