This role is primarily based in the Edmonton Corporate Office located at the Edmonton International Airport with occasional work-from-home flexibility


Position Overview:


The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support services to the Human Resources department.

The incumbent must be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations and will be accountable for the following duties:


  • Provide daytoday administrative support in a full spectrum of Human Resources functions including onboarding, offboarding, communications, training, performance management, etc.
  • Respond and provide assistance to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and redirect HR related correspondence to the appropriate member of the team
  • Maintain and updates employee files & HR files, training records, HR systems, lists and reports;
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Enter and maintain employee data in HRIS system, including new hire info, terminations, and employment status changes. Liaises with Payroll to ensure accuracy;
  • Assemble new hire packages, maintain and prepare onboarding materials;
  • Maintain HR projects and initiatives as assigned;
  • Coordination of New Hire Orientation and various training programs to all employees and various levels within the organization as required;
  • Administrate employee benefits, as directed;
  • Assist with the update of Company policies or documents as requested;
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

- **Education**:
  • Post
  • secondary certificate in Human Resources, Office Administration or related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;

- **Experience**:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years working in an HR capacity supporting a team.

- **Skills and Abilities**:
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and activities in a fast
  • paced and deadline driven environment;
  • Previous experience working with an HRIS or HRMS, including running reports;
  • General knowledge of labour law and employment Standards;
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality on a daily basis;
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical ability;
  • Selfmotivated with strong organizational, multitasking, and administrative skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team; and
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
