    Commissionaire at Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL)


    INTRODUCTION:

    Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization established in 1925 with a focus on providing meaningful employment for veterans and individuals dedicated to the well-being of Canadians, particularly in security services.

    Operating in Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are tailored to address the ever-changing security requirements of both private and public sector clients.

    Services encompass uniformed guard duties, mobile response, by-law enforcement, and identification services.
    Currently, we are in search of a dedicated Commissionaire to join our expanding team.

    Your dedication to meeting the needs of our clients and staff will foster loyalty and contribute to the overall success of our organization.


    RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES:
    • Recommend enhancements for physical security
    • Ensure adherence to Post Orders and CGL Policies & Procedures
    • Handle sensitive information discreetly
    • Aid in training new personnel
    • Provide leadership for the shift
    • Report all staffing concerns to the Site Supervisor
    • Respond to emergencies and alarms
    • Maintain high personal appearance standards
    • Foster positive relationships with employees, visitors, and clients
    • Fulfill site reporting and written documentation needs
    • Perform additional tasks as directed by the client and supervisor

    QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma
    • *MUST
      • Ontario Security Guard License
    • *MUST
      • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and conduct regular patrols
    • Proficiency in computer usage
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
    • Aptitude for making prompt and informed decisions
    • Customer service and reception skills

    EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
    Job Type: Full Time
    Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.09
    Hours: 1900 to 0700 hrs
    Shifts:
    Week 1:Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.
    Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
    Location: North York, Ontario
