The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a
Field Service Technician to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As the Field Technician you will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:

Adequately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers
Examine overall operational integrity an condition of machinery
Find defective mechanical or electrical parts, communicate and execute next steps for repair solutions to customers
Perform preventative scheduled maintenance
Diagnose and order parts according to technical manuals
Document and analyze breakdowns based on standard procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipment
Knowledge of hand tools and measuring devised and the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic
Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting/rigging
Maintaining, dismantling and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment
Driver's license (required)
Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry (required)
Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification (preferred)
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
Ability to travel to customer sites within local region
Must be able to gain access to Federal Government buildings through clearance screening process
