We have an opportunity for an experienced financial advisor to join our growing Group Retirement Savings Team in Atlantic Canada.

You'll be able to enjoy working closely with our established clients on education seminars, participate in finalist presentations and deliver your superior client experience meeting with participants in the group and one-on-one virtual and in-person meetings.


Our national Group Retirement Specialists connect with plan members about retirement saving solutions and provide guidance to assist employees maximize the participation of their workplace retirement program.

Your passion for investments, knowledge of retirement planning and financial solutions will provide the foundation to work with plan members while you continue to stay up to date with the ever-changing retirement landscape in Canada.

General Information on the Position


Main responsibilities- Work closely with the Client Relationship Manager and the employers who partner with us for their employee benefits- Identify education opportunities for their population based on your interaction with their people and deliver the very content you develop- Focus on group retirement plans, but also on the other realms of financial wellness (savings, debts, investing, etc.)- Know our client and their people and take the lead in recommending the delivery method for presentations, as they may be in-person, virtual or in a recorded format or a combination of all three- Establish the meeting schedule and as needed partner with your team members across Canada to ensure coverage of those meetings are met where needed- Draw on your ability to provide advice and guidance to our clients.

This can be done through interactions during group retirement education sessions, or via one on one meetings scheduled on-site or by webinar- Put your joy of working with people to work, you're capable of adapting your message depending on the audience- Take complex terms and terminology and simplify them for your audience- Ensure your message is resonating with the plan members.

You are also a critical link when it comes to providing feedback to the CRM and client on how the education message was received and what may need to be modified or changed to ensure achievement of the clients KPIs- Prepare and peer reviewing client presentations- Collect feedback after a session and summarizing the results for the client and Client Relationship Manager- Assist the Education Team with the online education webinars made available to all GRS plan members.

You may be the presenter or in a support role- Participate in finalist presentations and roadshows to share our Financial Wellness story and our Education offering- Engage with new plan members to Welcome them to their workplace plan and the support offered by Desjardins- Participate in internal projects, as needed- Track the number and type of meetings to ensure accurate reporting is available.


Other working conditions- Have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel- Schedule : Education sessions may be held outside of normal work hours - such as evenings and weekends.

Your work day is flexible to accommodate such requests- Work place: Position located in Saint-John NB or Halifax NS, depending on the applicant selected.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
