If you are looking for a challenging job where you will need to put all your technical skills to good use, the role of Research and Development Specialist for Pomerleau / Borea is for you.
Are you really a pro when it comes to using technology and innovation to seize optimization opportunities and solve problems? As an R&D Specialist, you will play a key role in helping shape the future of construction by researching and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Train algorithms for different development projects using data from construction projects and site tests;
- Effectuate Technological watch in the academia and industrial or professional sectors;
- Document your results and findings in reports and by redacting reports (business cases) research papers and articles;
- Manage development projects with internal or external teams.
- Support the Borea team in developing their Innovation roadmap, identifying key opportunities for technological advancements and process improvements that align with the company's strategic goals;
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to create and optimize process maps, streamlining workflows and identifying areas for automation or enhancement.
What YOU Will Bring
- 23 years of experience in the AEC industry or research on technology that is or could be related to the AEC or Renewable Energy industry;
- A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Renewable Energy, Software development or a combination of education and AEC industry experience;
- Mobility (Canada / United-States)
- A proven track record of research projects, project development or management;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency with computers especially with specialized software.
- A proven knowledge of the current trends regarding innovation in the AEC industry;
- Programming skills is a plus.
- Great ability to synthesize information into professional reports.
- Analytics skills (PowerBI, Sisense, etc.) to create and maintain dashboards is a plus.
- Bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organizational chart.
- Ability to work well and communicate with both field and office personnel.
- Must be selfdriven.
- Ability to communicate with confidence and persuasiveness.
- Six Sigma or other lean credentials are a plus.
