    Building Technologies Consulting Inc. (BTC Group) is a rapidly growing Building Science Engineering firm that specializes in managing existing building portfolios for Institutional, Commercial and Industrial property owners. Our areas of expertise include roofing, cladding, glazing, curtain wall, waterproofing, asphalt pavement systems, concrete restoration, and other building envelope systems.

    Our experienced technical team offers architectural design reviews and field reviews for new construction projects. For existing building portfolios, we conduct failure investigations, guide owners on asset maintenance and repairs, and provide engineering solutions for rehabilitation projects.

    BTC Group is a privately owned firm with offices in GTA, Halifax, Calgary, and Ottawa. We manage projects across Canada and aim to expand into other markets. Despite being a mid-sized firm, we have big aspirations that offer growth opportunities for our employees.

    We have an exciting opening for an "Intermediate Level Civil Engineering" professional with pavement experience to join our team. The successful candidate will handle pavement engineering and management projects in Ottawa, Toronto, or Calgary.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and conduct pavement evaluations and investigations.
    • Develop asphalt pavement repair designs, considering client requirements.
    • Review and approve reports, prepare proposals, and deliver client presentations.
    • Ensure project adherence to budgets and objectives.
    • Coordinate field inspections of construction sites.
    • Supervise inspection and testing staff.
    • Perform senior review of engineering analysis and design.
    • Participate in project meetings.
    • Manage projects independently and collaborate with teams for national programs.
    • Other duties as required.

    Education & Experience:

    • University Degree in Civil Engineering.
    • 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience post-graduation.
    • Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) or another provincial association.
    • Experience in flexible, rigid, and composite pavement designs and evaluations.
    • Expertise in pavement condition assessments and construction practices.
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
