    Geotechnical Engineer (Intermediate)

    Greater Toronto Area, ON

    Pinchin's Geotechnical Practice in the Greater Toronto area is quickly growing. We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in one of our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) offices.

    The Geotechnical Engineering Group at Pinchin is an emerging practice and has been added to our service offerings to provide our current and potential clientele with the highest quality of diversified geoscience engineering to meet today's demanding market. As a result, career advancement is based on your success at the company but is unlimited.

    The ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role should be capable of the following:

    A Day in the life of a Geotechnical Engineer at Pinchin:

  • You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver all types of geotechnical projects.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of small to medium sized project and assist in the delivery of large projects.
  • Manage geotechnical investigations including field coordination, subcontractors, budget, and schedule.
  • Engineering design and assessment to various geotechnical systems including foundation design, slope stability, settlement analysis, etc.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports and memorandums.
  • Assist with Client Management and Business Development

    • What you bring to the Pinchin team

  • University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Intermediate level experience in geotechnical engineering with project management experience.
  • Licensed with or the ability to be licensed with the Professional Engineers Ontario as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Able to work closely with our project teams across the company where geotechnical support may be of assistance, such as Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and Building Sciences.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to communicate effectively, as well as proactively respond to clients on time sensitive items.
  • The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and managers.
  • Proven technical writing skills in the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and letters for clients.
