iGaming Ontario (iGO) has established a new online gaming (iGaming) market provided through private gaming companies.

Formed in July 2021, iGO is working collaboratively with the Government of Ontario and Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to bring the world's best igaming experiences to the province in a safer environment, helping to protect consumers and provide more choice.

iGO is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join its growing and dynamic team.


Reporting to the Administrative Coordinator to the Executive Director, you will provide professional administrative support to iGO management, and the broader organization.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Coordinate and accurately record approvals for all incoming invoices in a timely manner.
  • Manage day to day responsibility for a number of iGO management's calendars.
  • Assist the Administrative Coordinator with allstaff meetings, town halls, and inperson workshops.
  • Assist Directors with expense claims, obtaining travel approvals, and ad hoc requests as required.
  • Recommend new/revised procedures to facilitate administrative effectiveness.
  • Attend to general office matters (e.g supply stocking and ordering, receiving, and distributing iGO mail to appropriate staff, coordinating deliveries).
  • Postsecondary education in an administrative/coordinator related field and/or 3+ years' experience in providing administrative support.
  • Demonstrated initiative, good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in dealing effectively with all levels of employees, and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Customer service mindset in interacting with Directors, all levels of staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, proven ability to set priorities and ability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate information gathering, advise individuals of decisions or action, and to formulate correspondence.
  • Team oriented and able to build relationships across a small and flat organization.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).

In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.

This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule.

The current in office requirement is a minimum of 1 day/week with the intention of moving towards a minimum of 3 days/week.
