Description
Companion Construction is a growing commercial construction management, general contracting, and project management firm. We specialize in commercial new construction, mass timber buildings, and tenant improvements. We also work in the health care sector doing office build outs and improvements.


As a Construction Labourer you will be responsible for completing a variety of construction labour tasks as well as assisting carpenters and trades.

You will maintain a clean and safe worksite by being proactive and independent. You will also be trained in the use of hand and power tools.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Clean the site by removing debris, sorting materials and organizing supplies and equipment
  • Load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks and equipment
  • Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment
  • Hand dig trenches, holes, pits, ditches, and cleancut footings
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Conduct cement work, including mixing, cutting, and grinding
  • Construction demolition activities
  • Maintain site fencing and keep site perimeters clean and safe
  • Perform water control, including pumping, drain maintenance, berms, and basin cleanout as required
  • Set up and maintain heaters, fans, and general ventilation on site
  • Assist site team with other labour and carpentry duties as assigned

Core Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
  • Physically capable of meeting the job demands, including working on your feet for 8 hours or more, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs, and carrying out physical tasks over extended periods

Assets

  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Construction experience of 1 year or more
  • Drivers License and access to a vehicle

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Licence/Certification:
