Job Description:


SUMMARY:


Reporting to Production Manager, the Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for the accurate inventory of 150+ raw materials in the plant to ensure sufficient and timely supply to the production lines.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Identify and analyze discrepancy in raw materials and finished goods
  • Stay abreast of production reports; ensure accuracy/update in MRP system (JE Edwards)
  • Prepare reconciliation report from various sources
  • Daily inventory tracking and adjustment
  • Daily and Weekly Finished Goods cycle count
  • Monthly inventory for Raw Materials and Finished Goods
  • Raw Material inventory
  • Prepare count sheet
  • Upload the count in JDE
  • Monthly changes add/remove from JDE
  • Process work order and closure of work order on a weekly basis
  • Constant communication with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Planning teams for orders and inventory numbers
  • Meticulous manual filing is a must

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • College Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • A minimum of 3 years of Materials Management experience in a complex manufacturing environment or construction industry
  • Advanced level of Excel and at least 2 years of handson MRP system experience; JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Passionate working with numbers with strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication with production and shipping/receiving personnel
  • Able to work sit, stand and walk in an office or production/warehouse area throughout the day
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Office and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fastpaced, changing environment.
  • Ability to follow and interpret written work instructions and prioritize tasks independently.
