Description

Position Overview

Work oneonone with students in elementary, high school and Cegep
Help students plan and complete their homework, and study for upcoming tests
Help students implement Brightside Learning's executive function strategies around organization, time management and planning
Communicate with student's coach and parents regularly to discuss progress
Qualifications & Knowledge
Cegep degree in a related field or relevant experience
Minimum of 2 years experience working with diverse learners
Ability to provide tutoring for high school math and science courses
Bilingual in English and French
Excellent ability to explain academic concepts in varying ways (people just seem to understand things when you explain it to them)
Ability to connect with and build impactful relationships with students
An understanding of how the school system works, including typical practices regarding teaching methods, homework, grading systems and gradelevel expectations
Proven ability in liaising with parents
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Excellent ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology

Training and Supervision: Before being matched with students, tutors must successfully complete company provided virtual training. Tutors are also provided opportunities for ongoing professional development and supervision.

Compensation:
Tutors are compensated as independent contractors at a rate of $26.00 per session hour.

Our tutors provide and maintain portal notes for each client and check-in with students and families in-between sessions as needed.

Part-time

Part-time hours: 12-25 per week

Salary:
$26.00 per hour
