Oakley Industries Sub Assembly Division, Inc. is an automotive supplier with eight plants in the Midwest area including Canada and the United States. We assemble wheels and tires in our plants and ship them in sequence to our customers.


Summary/Objective


The maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.


Essential Functions

  • Perform mechanic functions including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs of production machines.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on the lines, trailers and other equipment. Replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Partner with quality on capability issues or equipment problems that are noticed in uniformity, balancing and auditor.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Maintain and implement lock-outs and safety procedures.
  • Update and complete daily logs and PM schedules as required.
  • Implement changes that will decrease downtime.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory, communicate when there are shortages.
  • Assist with training new employees and cross training as outlined in the training procedures.
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Four years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial skills.
  • An assessment test or apprenticeship program certificate and/or associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is required.
