The Leader of HR Systems is responsible for driving the development and implementation of the HR technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders. Once the strategy is aligned, they set goals for the team and actively monitor progress towards these goals while making adjustments as needed. This person collaborates with the HR Senior Leadership team to establish priorities and partners with the Technology Solutions organization for planning and execution.

This position combines operational responsibilities with project leadership. Ensuring the smooth operation of systems, enhancing processes, and utilizing system functions efficiently are essential tasks on a daily basis. Additionally, there is a requirement to switch into project leadership mode during the implementation of new modules.

What will you do:

Technology Leadership:

• Identify opportunities for digitization and automation, prioritize enhancements.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to build and execute a comprehensive HR Technology roadmap aligning operational support with the ambitious needs of HR leadership.
• Engage with leaders and 'people data' users to enhance enterprise performance and data reliability.
• Promote a culture of continuous process improvement within the team, utilizing HR technology to optimize resources across the HR function.
• Stay updated on market trends, products, and product roadmaps that can enhance employee experience and operational efficiency, integrating them into the HR Technology Roadmap.
• Oversee system releases, features, and best practices, actively review and suggest new features and functionality.
• Plan deployments and system changes in coordination with change management and internal resources for better adoption and risk management.
• Implement industry best practices while ensuring compliance with Definity's corporate policies and standards.

Team Leadership:

• Manage workload, ensure goals delivery, and communicate deliverables across the HR Systems Team.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to promote the team's technical expertise development and achieve team goals.
• Empower and train team members for efficient task handling, fostering a culture of peer learning and curiosity.
• Identify and support training opportunities through knowledge transfer sessions, courses, and projects.
• Drive efforts to optimize and streamline processes within HR teams.
• In partnership with Technology Solutions, lead projects and programs from inception to implementation, including scope identification, resource allocation, stakeholder input, dependency mapping, and guidance to the HR systems team for successful delivery.

Technical Expertise:

• Act as a subject matter expert in multiple functional areas of Oracle HCM and HR Systems.
• Collaborate with the Technology Solutions team to design and configure innovative solutions within the Technology Ecosystem.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, outline work plans, and drive work delivery.
• Conduct technical lead reviews to ensure accurate configuration changes before production release.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, taking ownership of any Severity 1 incidents if they arise.
• Ensure team compliance with change control processes and JIRA and Confluence audit requirements.
• Support and sustain process management documentation for best practices and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Background in Human Resources, HRIS, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in an HR Technology role, with a preference for Oracle HCM expertise.
• Leadership experience exceeding 8 years, managing technology projects and leading teams.
• Configuration proficiency in at least two primary modules of Oracle HCM is mandatory.
• Combined functional and technical experience showing comprehension of HR-related tasks, processes, and services.
• Familiarity with standard SaaS configuration, deployment approaches, and agile project practices is advantageous.
• Devotion to customer service, adept communication, and teamwork.
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive collaborative abilities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in HR and across the organization.
• Effective time management to prioritize tasks for timely completion.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
• Keen attention to detail for data accuracy and quality assurance.
• Innovative thinker with a growth mindset, showcasing experience in process enhancement by leveraging systems and streamlining workflows.

Posting Range: $84,000 - $154,700
