Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement efficient shop processes and workflows in coordination with mechanical project managers and the BIM department to streamline operations and enhance productivity
Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
Lead the design and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control measures to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards
Establish and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Train shop personnel on new processes, tools, and technologies to ensure effective implementation and adherence to established procedures
Monitor and evaluate shop performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions
Stay abreast of industry trends, nest practices, and technological advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into shop operations

Required Skills:

Attention to detail
Strong and diverse pipefitting knowledge and work with a variety of pope materials and metals
Organized, capable of managing multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
Strong problem solving skills
Estimation or project execution experience would be an asset
Plumbing code knowledge
Strong experience in MS Office
Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to motivate and inspire team members towards achieving common goals
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Required Experience

Experience in construction with a focus in mechanical operations
510 years experience in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry
Journeyperson certificate in Pipefitting or Plumbing

Additional Requirements

Travel may be required
