ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
This role reports to the Associate Vice President, Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies


SUMMARY


The Lead Investigator is responsible for management and integrity of the design, conduct, and reporting of the research project and for managing, monitoring, and ensuring the integrity of any collaborative relationships.

Duties include project management, preparing reports, budget management, supervision of staff, and the development of research procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and manages the direction and oversight of compliance, financial, personnel, and other related aspects of the 'Personalized Nutrition Education' (PNE) study
  • Ensures that research is conducted in accordance with all university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and organize the activities of the PNE study research group
  • Responsible for the analyses of study data and reports
  • Responsible for technical, progress, and compliance reporting requirements in accordance with university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures requirements.
  • Lead meetings with researchers and key parties
  • Prepare and format research findings (Excel, Graphs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Conduct project and budget management activities
  • Coordinate project activities with faculty/staff in KPU (e.g., room bookings, recruitment procedures, communications) and external key parties

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or master's degree in a healthrelated area (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research.)
  • Working knowledge of relevant data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, NVIVO, Tableu, R, STATA, SAS)and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PPT, Outlook, Team)
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to multitask effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written and verbal for a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment, and work in a virtual environment such as teleconferences, emeetings, and video conferencing
  • Critical thinking skills and strong ability to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and independently
