Description

The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing a set of administrative functions of a relatively complex nature according to established methods and procedures and clerical functions related to activities in their area.


  • Occasional employees may receive shortterm contracts in a variety of departments.
Responsibility in a contract may include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet, screen and direct the public, employees and students to the appropriate person and/or information
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to inquiries (by phone, inperson, or electronic means)
  • Provide general administrative support to departments based on the occasional contract
  • Manage calendars and book appointments
  • Handle petty cash, cheque requisitions and purchase orders;
  • Perform other related tasks

Requirements:


  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • To have a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have at least one (1) year of pertinent experience.


  • CONDITIONS

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and administrative skills
  • Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail and work independently when needed
  • Advanced English and intermediate French language skills, both oral and written (testing may be required)
  • MS Word intermediate, MS Excel intermediate (testing may be required)
  • Previous experience in a CEGEP environment, an asset
